Joris Lacoste, writer, born in 1973, lives and works in Paris. Stéphanie Béghain, actress, lives and works in Paris.
Joris Lacoste's work includes texts written for the theater and the radio; he has also published texts in various reviews. In 1999, he turned to directing the play Nouvelles révélations sur le jeune homme. Stéphanie Béghain studied at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris, before participating in numerous theatrical creations, including street performances. The assistance provided to them by the Laboratoires in 2005 is related to the creation of 16 Lyriques, a true-fake concert staging a succession of "spoken songs", performed by Stéphanie Béghain and accompanied by non-amplified drums and electric guitars. This show introduces a reflection on translation / displacement between languages, cultural codes, genres and fields. It was presented at the Laboratoires in May 2005 for the public opening Ouverture 5.
