The artist proposed to several people to question the present status of family by taking a photographic portrait of their family at home. Seven families participated, four agreed to go through with the artist’s proposal by exhibiting in their homes the portrait of another family, thus transforming their apartment into a temporary exhibit space. The whole realization process of this project – the encounters with the families, the shootings and the discussions occasioned on the notions of family, hospitality or the presence of strangers through their pictures in one’s home– and led to a sound slide show presented at the Laboratoires.
